Food Pantry
The Food Pantry at Northeastern Presbyterian Church was established to provide food relief for the Washington, DC community. Families and individuals are welcome. It is open on the third Saturday, 10-12, September through June. Members of the church volunteer to work in the Pantry and purchase food items not provided by the Washington DC Food Bank (Food Bank).
These volunteers are trained by the Food Bank through required classes and workshops. Funds for the Pantry are provided by donations from church members, area banks, the Presbytery, and grants from the Food Bank.
Patrons are recommended by DC Social Services, personal contact, and word of mouth. All must register and provide basic information about themselves and/or their families.
For emergency needs, please contact the church office.
