NEPC Jazz Cafe

As part of our year-long celebration for our 50th Anniversary, Northeastern put on a Jazz Cafe in the fellowship hall on Sunday, April 27th at 4:00 in the afternoon. To an audience of more than 100 people, Joshua "Josh" Jenkins, Emerson Borg, Tyson Femister, and Kevin Kearney performed a masterful set of jazz music. Not only did the group give an outstanding performance, but we also had participation from members of the committee - Pastor Greiner as MC, and members serving as the wait staff, 'mock' bartenders, graphic designers, and ticket takers. All in all, it was a very successful event with the group getting a sustained standing ovation at the end. Thank you to all who had any part of this success, especially to Josh and Friends.
50th Anniversary Kickoff Weekend
Northeastern Presbyterian Church is 50 years old !!! On January 5, 1975, Northeastern was born. This birth took place because of the merger of Tabor and Sherwood Presbyterian churches.
It is now 2025 and 50 years later, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of this wonderful event. A yearlong celebration has been planned to commemorate what took place in 1975, and it started off this past weekend, January 4th and 5th, with a prayer breakfast and special Sunday service.
On Saturday, January 4th, Reverend Veronica Cannon was the energy at the prayer breakfast and on Sunday, January 5th, Reverend Dr. Jerry Cannon gave a rousing sermon. Both speakers gave thought-provoking, spiritual messages that will remain with us for days to come.
Thank you Team Cannon. With that, begins the first days of the next 50 years at Northeastern.
Glory to God! Alleluia! Amen!
